A few years ago when I started this blog, I just wanted to share my reviews on products I’d bought and products that I noticed at the counters. At the time, I certainly didn’t expect to be invited to as many product launches and events as I do now.

The term “beauty junkie” is often used to describe those who are passionate about beauty products but I’ve never thought of myself as one. Sure, I love makeup and skincare but that’s not the extent of my interests. I love to read too but I don’t consider myself a bookworm. I just love every aspect of life and this blog has been a convenient vehicle towards discovering more of the world. At the same time, it’s for sharing with my readers all that I have experienced.

The latest Dior fragrance, JOY By Dior is created by Dior perfumer, François Demachy. The bottle is very simple, crystal and soft pink, you can instantly tell this is a feminine fragrance. Ingredients include zested bergamot and mandarin which unite to make the flowers soar. There’s rose, in both essence and absolute forms, and exhilarating Jasmine blended with these juicy fruits.

I sprayed it on at the JOY By Dior promo area at Centre Court, Mid Valley Megamall yesterday morning. I have to say it didn’t make that much of an impact on me. I don’t dislike it but I don’t love it either. Still prefer J’adore (in all its wonderful variations) which makes more of a statement.
