A few years ago when I started this blog, I just wanted to share my reviews on products I’d bought and products that I noticed at the counters. At the time, I certainly didn’t expect to be invited to as many product launches and events as I do now.

The term “beauty junkie” is often used to describe those who are passionate about beauty products but I’ve never thought of myself as one. Sure, I love makeup and skincare but that’s not the extent of my interests. I love to read too but I don’t consider myself a bookworm. While doing some spring cleaning, I came across Averine Smoothing Compact Foundation SPF 15 which I bought ages ago. Although I wouldn’t advocate using makeup bought long ago, I couldn’t just throw this away. Averine Smoothing Compact Foundation SPF 15 is a cream-to-powder type of foundation which I like as it tends to go on smoothly and you apply with a powder puff included in the compact.

This is in Natural shade which blends in quite nicely with my skin tone. It conceals redness and blemishes with medium to full coverage. Doesn’t feel heavy or cakey on skin. A good product but I don’t think the brand is available here any more.
