A few years ago when I started this blog, I just wanted to share my reviews on products I’d bought and products that I noticed at the counters. At the time, I certainly didn’t expect to be invited to as many product launches and events as I do now.

The term “beauty junkie” is often used to describe those who are passionate about beauty products but I’ve never thought of myself as one. Sure, I love makeup and skincare but that’s not the extent of my interests. I love to read too but I don’t consider myself a bookworm. It’s a delight to be using Biossance Squalane + Phyto-Retinol Serum as this feels like what a luxury serum should. This lightweight serum features Bakuchiol, a plant-derived alternative to retinol. It’s for reducing the look of lines and wrinkles while visibly firming skin-without the irritation or sensitivity associated with retinol.

I use this serum after the Rose Oil and it makes the effect of the Oil even better in that my skin is optimally hydrated. While some beauty brands that use squalance in their skincare harvest it from shark livers, Biossance squalane comes from 100% plant-based, renewable sugarcane, then bio-fermented to create a beautiful end result—highly stable, totally sustainable squalane. Every drop of squalane in their products is derived in this eco-friendly way.
