Guest Review Of Garnier Light Whiten & Even Moisturizing Cream SPF17/PA++

This time, guest reviewer Camie reviews Garnier Light’s Whiten & Even Moisturizing Cream SPF17/PA++. It’s packaged in a yellow glass jar (feels quite heavy) with a white cap. I believe it’s intended for all skin types but due to the cream texture, those with oily skin may find it too rich.

Light, Garnier, Action!

The Garnier brand is no stranger in the market especially when it comes to their 14 days whitening result. The new Garnier Light range has an upgraded content of pure lemon essence (definitely can smell it), mulberry extract and vitamin C. It’s said to help brighten up skin tone and also reduce dark spots.

The lemon extract works as an exfoliant to remove dead skin cells while both Mulberry and Vitamin C work together to reduce melanin production to prevent further darkening of the skin.

It has a dense, rather thick texture and it scores ok in keeping skin moisturized. However, being someone with oily skin, cream textured products is not really my best friend.

As far as whitening is concerned, maybe because I happen to stay outdoors pretty often, my skin tone doesn’t really show much difference after a few usages. But then again, it does mention visible results only in 4 weeks. The moisturizer has SPF17/PA++ that gives the skin a layer of protection from the harmful UV rays just in case you forget to put on sunblock.

This moisturizer comes in 5oml at RM19.90.  Available in nationwide drugstores and department stores. Always look out for discounts of up to 20% at drugstores.

Well, I’d say this is good value-for-money provided your skin agrees with the cream.

  1. Can I use this at evening? And when I’m using it, should I gently massage it onto my face until it dries or, I gently massage it and let it dry for minutes? Thank you!

    1. Not suitable for evening as it has sunscreen and ideally you shouldn’t wear sunscreen to bed. Yes, you can massage it on to face.
