Preservative-free & So Soft : boscia B.B. Cream SPF 27 PA++

I’ve declared before that I’m not the biggest fan of B.B. Creams since I’ve generally found their coverage too light. boscia has a B.B. Cream SPF 27 PA++ which they term as “the ultimate multi-tasker”. Their B.B.Cream claims to help diminish the appearance of pores, fine lines and uneven skintone while providing long-wearing, natural coverage that conceals imperfections.

These are the key ingredients and descriptions (from their press release) in their B.B. Cream:-

  • Abyssine – a naturally-derived survival molecule that uniquely protects itself in hostile environments, helps reinforce skin’s natural defenses or “reminds” skin how to defend itself against external aggressors.
  • Hydroxyprolisilane CN – stimulates, strengthens and protects collagen and elastin fibers, promoting skin elasticity and firmness and reducing the appearance of fine lines.
  • Sodium Hyaluronate – able to hold up to 1,000 times its weight in water, helps support skin’s natural ability to maintain hydration.
  • Licorice Root – a soothing and conditioning antioxidant, balances skin pH levels to embrace maximum treatment benefits. Helps reduce the appearance of dark spots.
  • Beta Glucan – (a natural oat derivative) supports skin’s natural defense mechanisms by providing a breathable barrier of moisture that protects against free radical damage while encouraging collagen synthesis and healthy skin.
  • Titanium Dioxide (B.B. Cream contains 6.4%) – provides physical, non-chemical, broad spectrum UVA/UVB protection by scattering UV light.
  • boscia’s Unique Botanical Blend : Jojoba Leaf – helps to prevent free radical damage while nourishing the skin, and Willowherb helps to calm skin inflammation and reduce visible redness and irritation.

This B.B. Cream has only 1 shade which is a light peach-orange tone. It’s buttery soft and smooth, so easy to blend into skin. I’ve never felt a B.B. Cream as soft as this one. Coverage is rather sheer, it won’t cover hyperpigmentation marks but I think it is adequate for days when one just wants some light make-up so that skin tone is even.

The texture is very lightweight and that makes it very comfortable to wear all day. On application, my skin feels hydrated. It keeps my skin looking natural and healthy. It’s one of the better B.B. Creams that I’ve tried and tested.

This product doesn’t contain alcohol or preservatives and is 100% fragrance and colour free. For a boscia product, the price is suprisingly reasonable as it’s RM130 for 50ml. Available at Sephora outlets.

Note : boscia B.B. Cream was provided by PR for this review.
