Renaissance Kuala Lumpur Fitness Center

Every time I have visited Renaissance KL, I’ve ended up being somewhat lost as I get confused between their East and West Wings. During this most recent visit last week, I had guides who kindly brought me to several floors as a form of orientation, without which I would definitely have lost my bearings yet again.

My visit to the hotel’s Fitness Center was certainly a revelation. It began with a walk around their Olympic-sized free flowing swimming pool. On a hot day, you can imagine how blissful it’d be to soak in this pool surrounded by lush greenery. You could almost forget you were right smack in the middle of KL.

I’ve never seen a Fitness Center located in a hotel as big as Renaissance’s, it’s a whopping 14,000 sq. ft. of space and I was floored by the size when I entered the Fitness Center. I would have been impressed even if the Fitness Center was half the size it is. Whether your choice of exercise is to dance, walk, run, sway, swivel, lift, stretch or just sit and look at every one else exercising (an activity I do very well), there’s more than enough space here.

The Workout Space has Cardio machines, strength machines, weights and free form equipment. There’s enough here to keep any exercise fanatic busy. Once you have exercised to your heart’s content, chill out in the sauna, steam and jacuzzi in the male and female changing rooms. There’s a wet and dry sauna, steam your hair or your blackheads out in these saunas!

The tennis court is available for rental at RM35 nett per hour while lighting is RM10 nett per hour.

This is one Fitness Center I wouldn’t mind spending time in and I think it will get me off my butt!
