Soleil Mother’s Day Brunch Set Menu

Mother’s Day is just round the corner and what better way to pamper mum and give her an unforgettable day than taking her out for brunch? If your mum cooks a lot, then she deserves a treat out of the house. Treat her to a sumptuous lunch at Soleil, they have a Mother’s Day Brunch Set Menu full of dishes which will leave mum feeling more than satisfied and happy.

This afternoon, there was a media preview of Soleil’s Mother’s Day Brunch Set Menu. From 6th to 10th May, indulge in Chef Evert’s lavish family brunch menu. The selection of food varies from seafood starters to several top quality meat options, including side dishes of your choice. For sweet tooth lovers, they have a fabulous choice of desserts. Their a la carte menu is also available.

For starters, we sampled the Seafood Platter, our serving was for 6-8 pax and it consisted of the best from the sea. There’s Tiger Prawns from East Coast, Malaysia, Oysters from Ireland, Mussels from Australia, Clams from Malaysia, Cold Water Shrimp from Holland and Smoked Salmon from Tasmania. The platter is also available for 2 pax at RM230++. There are 3 sauces to go with the platter, namely mayo, cocktail and wasabi. The wasabi sauce is the best as it gives a “kick” like Tabasco.

For the main, we had Roast Beef Cuberoll (beef is from Australia) which comes with Spring Vegetables, Red Wine Gravy and mini Yorkshire Puddings. This is priced at RM285++ per kg or RM425++ 1.5kg. All this reminds me of Christmas in Britain.

Suddenly I was feeling nostalgic for Ye Olde England and imagined myself in some English pub but of course being in Soleil is better because Chef Evert is such a superb chef. While I enjoyed the beef because it was quite tender, I admit that I loved the Yorkshire Pudding as they went so well with the gravy. The beef was actually better with the wasabi sauce that came earlier with the Seafood Platter than the gravy. Talk about fusion food.

The Black Forest Cake with Cherry Brandy ice cream not only looks super pretty and appealing, you can really taste the brandy in the cake and ice cream. It’s a cake that will bring a huge smile to mum’s face and this is literally the icing on the cake. The cake is RM120++ and serves 6. Pavlova is the other dessert option.

Soleil welcomes both small (3 – 5 people) and large (8 – 12 people) sized families to enjoy our Sunday brunch to celebrate this occasion. All items have been specially created for this event, so it’s advisable to place an order 3 days prior the occasion. Enhancing a homely ambience, family members are encouraged to carve their own roast and to serve – a well-known English tradition for a Sunday roast.

All mothers will receive Soleil’s “Don’t mess with MUM” Mother’s Day apron, box of chocolates and a bottle of Crêmant de Bourgogue sparkling wine worth RM280*.
