Remember my review on Evolu’s Refreshing Body Wash? Well I am still a long way from finishing the bottle although I use it everyday. In fact, I am even thinking of getting a 2nd bottle which is very rare for me unless I really love a product. This afternoon, local beauty and lifestyle distributor theSkintopic officially introduced Evolu to their existing range of New Zealand skincare and bodycare products as well as opened their fourth stand-alone kiosk at The Curve as part of its rapid expansion plans in West Malaysia. The new 200 square foot kiosk is set to cater to residents within the Bandar Utama and Mutiara Damansara catchment area.

Evolu was founded and developed by Kati Kasza who was born to a family of Hungarian emigres to New Zealand. Kati gained her understanding of the health benefits of plants from her mother, a trained botanist and herbalist. Her father is one of New Zealand’s winemaking pioneers and from him, she acquired her appreciation of quality ingredients and the power of blending them well.

Kati believes in the power of plants to promote lasting beauty. Kati was a former English and French teacher who then joined Air NZ as a flight attendant. Although her job with Air NZ did wonders for her French, it did little to improve her skin condition which worsened as she had acne, among other problems. She turned to many skincare products which didn’t help her. Kati was determined to look for a solution and drew from her family background. That was how she started Evolu 16 years ago.

Many of the key ingredients in Evolu’s products are derived from plants native to New Zealand such as Harakeke, Mamaku and Kawakawa. Kati said, “Aotearoa New Zealand is celebrated for being an unspoiled country covered in lush green forests, snow-capped mountains and vast open spaces; so it’s little wonder that its artesian spring water is among the purest in the world. Evolu harnesses this fantastic resource, blending our botanicals with a foundation of pure New Zealand spring water to maximise their moisture-keeping benefits and maintain the natural hydration of your skin”.

Mr. Frederick Loh, Executive Director of theSkintopic said, “We are delighted to have Evolu on board as its brand philosophy is a perfect fit for the existing range of natural skincare and bodycare products at theSkintopic. We are constantly on the lookout for new and natural beauty brands to introduce to the Malaysian market. Based on the growing demands of our existing customer base, we are confident that Evolu will fit the needs of discerning women who prefer natural products for their skin.”

theSkintopic’s 4th and latest stand-alone kiosk is located at K-G8-W, Ground Floor, The Curve, Mutiara Damansara (tel : 03-7722 2213).
