bareMinerals High Shine Eyecolor In Frost

bareMinerals High Shine Eyecolor (Frost)

bareMinerals is the mineral makeup range developed by Bare Escentuals, free of any preservatives, fillers or binders. It has a zero-irritability factor and should be suitable for the most sensitive skins. bareMinerals’ High Shine Eyecolors are vibrant pigments in small tubes with cushion-tip wands.

There is a certain advantage to having eyecolor pigments in liquid form instead of loose pigments which are potentially more messy. Frost is a gray metallic shimmer which is beautiful to behold, even before I’ve applied it on my eyelids. Then again,I have always had a certain weakness for silver eyecolors.

When I first used this eyecolor, I wasn’t sure of the texture so I applied it to the back of my hand and tried to use my finger to apply it on my eyelids but it doesn’t work that way as it dries pretty quickly. The best way to apply it is directly to the eyelids with the applicator.

It’s quite easy to apply as the applicator is designed to apply the eyecolor evenly but it does take a bit of practise in order not to smudge it on the lower eye area. Once applied, the color stays put all day, I have not experienced any fall-out. As the color is already so intense, I don’t need an eyeshadow primer underneath it. It goes on to my eyelids very smoothly.

I am not sure how easy it’d be to blend two High Shine Eyecolors since I only have this one color but I’m satisfied with just one color as it’s gorgeous. I don’t even feel like using another color to blend with it. It can also be used as an eyeliner.

These are the ingredients (obtained from Bare Escentuals official website):-

Oryza Sativa (Rice) Lipids, Silica, Carmine (CI 75470). (+/-): Mica, Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891), Iron Oxides (CI 77489, CI 77491, CI 77492, CI 77499), Aluminum Powder (CI 77000), Bronze Powder (CI 77400), Chromium Hydroxide Green (CI 77289), Chromium Oxide Greens (CI 77288), Copper Powder (CI 77400), Ferric Ferrocyanide (CI 77510), Manganese Violet (CI 77742), Ultramarines (CI 77007).

Price of the High Shine Eyecolors (1.5g) is RM69. There are 6 shades altogether and I have my eye on Electric which is described as a Deep Teal. They are available at Sephora outlets.
