boscia Clear Complexion Moisturizer With Botanical Blast

Some of you may already have checked out boscia products at Sephora – there are quite a lot of it on the shelves and I still do have a look at them from time to time as I find their ingredients quite interesting and different from other brands.

Their Clear Complexion Moisturizer with Botanical Blast is a treatment moisturizer that provides lightweight hydration and absorbs excess oil. It’s supposed to help clear and prevent breakouts. It comes in a small 15ml tube, at first I thought it was eye cream!

These are the key ingredients in the Moisturizer:-

  • Sasa Kurilensis Water to neutralize blemish-causing bacteria and help the skin’s natural ability to regulate sebum production.
  • Willow Bark Extract, a natural Beta Hydroxy Acid derived from the Willow Tree to gently and effectively exfoliate. It’s for unclogging and purifying pores and help minimize dark spots from previous breakouts.
  • Rosemary Leaf Extract to help firm skin and visibly reduce the appearance of pores.
  • Argan Kernel Extract, Sesame Seed Extract and Saw Palmetto Fruit Extract to regulate and reduce sebum production especially in the T-zone area and provide long-lasting reduction in sebum production.

This is an extremely fluid moisturizer and should definitely suit oily skins. Very little is needed so I guess that accounts for the small tube. It does keep my skin looking matte all day and pores are more refined. It works to control sebum production in my T-zone area as well as helping reduce inflammations.

However, I stopped using this moisturizer after a week due mainly to a flakiness problem. Within a few minutes of application, my skin becomes flaky and bit of the moisturizer comes off in flakes. Furthermore, it’s not moisturising enough for my normal-dry skin.

This moisturizer is pretty pricey as it retails at RM140.
