A Taste Of Pho Vietz Through Shopee Food

Lemongrass Chicken Bread

One of my favourite Vietnamese dishes is the beef pho soup, absolutely delicious if done right. However, it’s best to have soupy dishes at the restaurant as it could be cold if it’s a takeaway. Last week, I ordered a few dishes from Pho Vietz through Shopee Food. Rice, dry noodles and bread are okay for me as takeaway food.

The Lemongrass Chicken Bread was crispy and what a baguette should be, in my opinion. I love baguettes but the majority of bakeries here don’t seem to differentiate between a baguette and bun texture. Even the higher end bakeries like those in Bangsar can’t get the texture right. Pho Vietz’s baguette is the best I have tasted so far and I have tasted a lot of baguettes from just about every bakery in town that makes baguettes.

Biting into Pho Vietz’s baguette is a pleasure as with every bite, I can hear the “crunch” that I don’t get with almost every baguette I have bought from bakeries in the Klang Valley. I am not sure why bakeries come up with baguettes which are as far from the real thing as a fish is not a reptile. The filling has enough vegetables to balance out the meal and the lemongrass chicken is fragrant.

Flat Rice Roll RM9.90

There are 4 Flat Rice Roll @ RM9.90, price is reasonable and as with all their dishes, there is a complementing spicy sauce. I can’t remember what all the filling was but it was good and probably healthier than the deep fried rolls.

Pork Vermicelli RM15.90

Portion of vermicelli and pork is quite generous. It’s like eating a salad as there’s vegetables, best thing is to mix it all together with the accompanying sauce. The pork pieces are seasoned well. You can expect a hearty and filling meal from this.

Chicken Chop Rice @ RM15.90

Their Chicken Chop Rice is quite filling and I think the price is reasonable for quite a bit of chicken. The crackers next to the rice were separately packed in plastic which is thoughtful so they don’t go soft. The chicken was a bit too salty for me but otherwise it is an excellent quality meal.
